Wire + Sinker EDM

Makino U6 H.E.A.T. wire EDM and Mitsubishi MV-S sinkers for hardened tool steels, exotic alloys, and features that won't yield to a cutter. 0.004" brass wire standard, 0.001" for micro-features.

Micro-Machining

GD&T is the language we work in. Every print is reviewed against ASME Y14.5-2018 datum schemes before chips fly. True position, perpendicularity, and concentricity callouts are verified on a Zeiss Contura CMM with sub-micron probing.

Tolerance band shown is what we routinely maintain across a run of 250 – 5,000 pieces. Tighter is available on a job-by-job basis with thermal stabilization and certified gage blocks.

NIST-traceable thermometry across the production floor and CMM lab, with hourly drift logs retained for AS9100D audits.

In-process probing on every spindle

Renishaw OMP60 probes capture work-offset and tool-length data per part. Out-of-spec readings halt the cell automatically.

Multi-lead bone thread, internal hex drive, and a polyaxial head that hits ±25° articulation. The whole part comes off a single Swiss-turn cycle with synchronized sub-spindle hex broaching. CMM-verified, passivated to ASTM F86, packaged double-bagged and gamma-ready.
