Helio Grid · Solar + Storage IPP

Building the grid for
the next century.

We develop, build and operate utility-scale solar and battery storage across the Western Interconnection. Delivering firm, dispatchable clean power for utilities, IPPs and large load customers.

What we do

One team. The entire project lifecycle.

[01 / 06] capability stack
01 / DEVELOP

Development

From greenfield site control through Notice to Proceed. We secure land, run interconnection, permit and underwrite. So projects clear hurdles others can't.

  • Land acquisition + option agreements
  • Interconnection queue management
  • CEQA / NEPA permitting + tribal consultation
  • PPA structuring with utility offtakers
02 / BUILD

Construction

Owner's engineer on every project. We self-perform civil and electrical scopes through our affiliate EPC, with union labor commitments across CA, NV and AZ.

  • Self-perform racking + DC scope
  • BESS integration (LFP chemistry)
  • High-voltage substation buildout
  • Project labor agreements (IBEW, LIUNA)
03 / OPERATE

Operations

24/7 NERC-compliant operations center in Reno, NV. We dispatch storage assets into CAISO day-ahead and real-time markets while preserving capacity-payment obligations.

  • 24/7 monitoring + remote dispatch
  • Energy + ancillary services bidding
  • Asset management + warranty admin
  • NERC CIP cybersecurity compliance
Portfolio

34 sites across the desert Southwest.

Every project is located inside the Western Interconnection. Siting choices driven by solar irradiance, transmission proximity and queue position in CAISO, CAISO-EIM and WECC balancing authorities.

Mojave Sun. A hybrid solar+storage flagship.

1,200 acres of single-axis tracking PV paired with a 4-hour LFP battery system. Delivered six weeks ahead of COD, with a 25-year fixed-price PPA to a California-jurisdictional load-serving entity.

How it works

Solar + storage, end-to-end.

[ technical diagram · v2.1 ]
SOLAR · 1000 W/m² PV ARRAY · DC ~/= INVERTER BATTERY · 4HR LFP XFMR SUBSTATION GRID · 230kV
01

Capture

Bifacial PV modules on single-axis trackers. Typically 1,800–2,400 sun hours per year in our markets.

02

Condition

Central inverters convert DC to AC and shape output to meet utility power-quality requirements (IEEE 1547).

03

Store + shift

Lithium iron phosphate batteries charge during midday solar peaks, then discharge into the evening ramp.

04

Deliver

Power steps up through the substation transformer and onto the high-voltage transmission system.

Community impact

The grid lives in someone's backyard.

What FERC Order 2023 actually changes for the CAISO queue.

Cluster studies, financial commitments and the end of the "first-come, first-served" era. Translated into what it means for a Series C developer with 4 GW in queue.

About this design template

Helio Grid is a renewable energy design template.

This is a design template that shows how Albertson Designs approaches energy websites. The structure, photography, typography, and copy were built around how a real energy business actually operates. Generic about-services-contact patterns are not here.

When Albertson Designs builds your site, we use designs like this as a reference for color, structure, and category vocabulary. Every line of code, every photo, and every word is custom for your business. Most full builds ship in four to eight weeks depending on scope.
