Overtone started in 2009 in a one-bay garage, building car audio for friends who wanted their music to actually move them. Word got around, the home-theater calls started, and the shop grew into a full design-and-install team — but the standard never changed.

That standard is simple: measure everything, hide the wiring, and do not call a system finished until it is calibrated. It is the reason a Vale install still sounds dialed in years later, whether it is a 7.2.4 theater or a daily driver.

What people ask before they book.

Yes — that is the whole point of Overtone. The same team designs, installs, and calibrates dedicated home theaters, whole-home audio, and full car audio systems. Because we do both, we are just as comfortable running speaker wire through a finished wall as we are fabricating a custom subwoofer enclosure for your trunk.
We recommend it, because we can only warranty and calibrate a system end to end when we have chosen and matched the gear. That said, we will happily tell you exactly what we would spec and why. We carry premium home and car brands like KEF, McIntosh, Denon, JL Audio, and Focal, and we match the components to your room, your vehicle, and your budget.
Often, yes. Bring us the list at your consult. If your speakers, receiver, or amplifier are worth keeping, we will build around them and only replace what is holding the system back. If something is not worth reinstalling, we will tell you straight rather than charge you to hang it.
A car stereo or speaker install is usually a same-day appointment. A full car build with amplifiers, subs, and DSP tuning is typically one to two days. Home theaters and whole-home audio depend on scope — a living-room system can be a day, while a dedicated cinema with acoustic treatment runs several. Your written quote includes the schedule.
