From a garage subwoofer box to a full design studio.
In 2009, Marcus Vale was building subwoofer enclosures in his garage for anyone who wanted their car to actually move air. The work was clean, the tuning was honest, and the phone kept ringing. When friends started asking him to wire up their living rooms too, Overtone became a real shop — one that treats a home theater and a car build as the same craft.
That craft is measurement, not guesswork. We take real readings of the room or the cabin, model where the sound is going to fight itself, and design around the problems before we ever hang a speaker. It is slower up front. It is the reason a Vale install still sounds dialed in years later.
Today the team runs a design showroom on South Lamar, a full fabrication bay for custom car work, and a calibrated demo theater so you can hear the difference before you commit. Same people, same standard, a lot more square footage.
