The House · Est. MCMLXXXVI

A house built on thirty-nine years of quiet handshakes.

Marston Motorcars has spent four decades as a small, family-held dealership in Greenwich, Connecticut. We've never advertised on television, never run an auction lane, and never sold a car we wouldn't keep ourselves. The collectors we serve return. And tell their friends.

Our Story

From a two-bay garage on Putnam Avenue.

What began as a one-man Ferrari restoration shop in 1986 has grown into a discreet sales-and-service house with a 22,000 sq ft climate-controlled showroom. Still on the same block.

Vintage Ferrari at the original Marston Motorcars garage in 1989

Charles Marston bought his first 308 GTSi the year he turned twenty-six. He restored it in a friend's two-bay garage on Putnam Avenue, sold it eight months later to a collector in Connecticut, and used the proceeds to buy two more. By 1989 the garage had become Marston Motorcars, and Charles had a waiting list of buyers who trusted his eye for an honest car.

For thirty-nine years the formula has not changed. We sell motorcars we would willingly keep in our own collections. We turn down five for every one we accept. We stand behind every transaction with our name on the door. Because the door is still the same door, on the same block, run by the same family.

Today the showroom holds between twenty-five and forty motorcars at any given time. Our clients are collectors, family offices, museum trustees, and the occasional first-time exotic buyer who was sent to us by someone we sold to in 1998. We are deliberately small. We intend to stay that way.

The Principal

Charles E. Marston

Founder · Principal

Charles has personally underwritten every motorcar that has passed through our doors since 1986. A judge for the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance, a long-standing member of the Ferrari Club of America, and an FIVA-accredited appraiser, he has earned the trust of three generations of collectors on both coasts.

His standard is straightforward: he will not list a motorcar he would not himself own. If a 911 GT3 came through the door with anything less than a perfect compression test or a complete book set, it would go back where it came from. That standard is the house standard. It is not for sale, and it has not moved in thirty-nine years.

Charles lives in Greenwich with his wife Eleanor. He drives a 1973 Porsche 911 S Targa, a 1995 BMW E34 M5 Touring, and a Defender 110.

About this design template

Marston Motorcars is an auto dealership design template.

This is a design template that shows how Albertson Designs approaches automotive websites. The structure, photography, typography, and copy were built around how a real automotive business actually operates. Generic about-services-contact patterns are not here.

When Albertson Designs builds your site, we use designs like this as a reference for color, structure, and category vocabulary. Every line of code, every photo, and every word is custom for your business. Most full builds ship in four to eight weeks depending on scope.
